It takes a village to raise a child!

Meet Christy Agboli. She is the mother of three boys, ages 14, 13 and 11. Christy is one of our amazing volunteers and has been with Anne Arundel County CASA for the last four years, serving as an advocate for two children.

Christy joined CASA as she has always had a passion for community service and strives to commit her life to serving others in the community. Even when she was younger, she served as an Americorps National Service volunteer in high school, working with the Girls Scout Council.

She is passionate about helping children thrive! Her goal is to ensure all children are prepared for a successful life, and being a CASA has reinforced the African adage that “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Christy knows that parenting is a beautiful privilege, but also one that is very challenging. She also knows that supporting a child in the foster care system can go a long way to ensuring they are advocated for and cared for too.

Thank you Christy for all that you do to advocate for our children in foster care!
