Studies have shown (The Importance of Promoting Diversity in Early Childhood Programs) that diversity plays a significant role in childhood development. The presence of different voices and experiences assists children in valuing diversity, understanding different cultures, and dealing with stereotypes. This knowledge fosters self-esteem, promotes higher education levels, improves coping abilities, and decreases the possibility of loneliness and depression.
We are committed to ensuring that we attain and apply knowledge that will create an environment where the children we serve are seen, heard, and understood. This commitment is essential to providing and maintaining a safe space for honest communications, resolution of disagreements, and building mutual respect.
Increase the effectiveness of Anne Arundel County CASA, Inc. (AACCASA) by advocating and advancing the values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB).
